GS1 China Attends the GS1 Advisory Council Meeting

The 2026 GS1 Advisory Council Meeting was held on April 8-10 in Brussels, Belgium. Luo Fangping, Chairman of GS1 China (Article Numbering Center of China), attended the meeting. More than 30 participants from 20 major GS1 Member Organizations, including the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Australia, as well as the GS1 Chair and invited guests, joined the meeting onsite and online.

 

    The GS1 Advisory Council serves as a decision-making advisory body, providing counsel to the GS1 President on key strategies, financial models, and major initiatives of GS1. During the meeting, Mr. Luo Fangping engaged in in-depth discussions with GS1 President Renaud de Barbuat and other executive representatives from GS1 Member Organizations on important topics related to the GS1 2030 Vision, including the GS1 Global Registry Platform, 2D barcode brand building, Digital Product Passports (DPP), retail and marketplace, and public policy.

By participating in this meeting, GS1 China continues to play an active role in GS1’s advisory and decision-making bodies, contributing to the development of GS1 global work.
