Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) of the People's Republic of China and the International Labour Organization (ILO) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in Special Equipment Safety and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in Geneva. The signing marks a new stage of collaboration in the field of special equipment safety and represents an important milestone in deepening the partnership between the two sides.

The MoU primarily covers key areas including exchanges on special equipment safety regulatory frameworks and policies; development and promotion of occupational safety and health standards and practices; capacity building and personnel training; and participation in international safety awareness campaigns. Leveraging their respective resources and professional expertise, the two sides will establish a platform for regular cooperation. Through knowledge sharing, technical exchanges and outcome promotion, both parties will advance the dissemination and application of standards, guidelines, new technologies and protection methods concerning special equipment safety and occupational safety and health. Furthermore, the two organizations will jointly launch volunteer training programs in relevant fields and provide capacity-building support for developing countries in special equipment safety regulation and OSH management. Together, they will address challenges in these areas, improve the development of the special equipment safety regulatory framework, and promote the high-quality development of OSH undertakings.
