The 2026 Annual Meeting of the OECD Tractor Codes was held in Paris, France, from March 10 to 11. At the invitation of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), officials from the Department of Certification Supervision and Administration of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed and adopted the 2025 annual work report and the 2027-2030 work program, and confirmed that the next annual meeting will be held in Paris in March 2027. The meeting focused on testing standards and conformity assessment rules for emerging technologies such as electric tractors and autonomous tractors, and approved relevant sub-working groups to continue their research work. The meeting also adopted a new strategic plan, which outlines that the next 5-7 years will focus on improving the Codes system, maintaining state-of-the-art standards, strengthening international cooperation, and promoting member participation.

More than 50 representatives from 21 countries including China, France, the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, as well as relevant organizations such as the European Agricultural Machinery Association (CEMA) and the OECD Coordinating Centre attended the meeting. During the meeting, the Chinese delegation held in-depth exchanges with representatives from member countries on topics including agricultural machinery certification, international mutual recognition, and technical standards harmonization.

The OECD Tractor Codes is an international mutual recognition system for official testing and certification of agricultural and forestry tractors, promoting trade facilitation among member countries through unified testing standards and mutual recognition of results. China participates in the Sub-Working Group on Electric Tractors and the Sub-Working Group on Autonomous Vehicles, actively contributing to the development of relevant rules.
