GS1 China Attends GS1 Connect 2026
The GS1 Connect 2026 conference took place from June 9 to 11, 2026, in Las Vegas, USA. Representatives from the GS1 China were invited to attend the conference.
Under the theme “Where Bold Ideas Lead to Big Wins,” the three-day conference brought together members of GS1 US, including manufacturers, producers, retailers, solution providers, and other stakeholders, who shared practical application cases and insights on GS1 standards. Delegates from GS1 Global Office and national GS1 organizations of China, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Thailand, and other countries participated in the event.
The conference featured five main components:
General sessions – including the opening ceremony and keynote speeches from industry leaders.
Breakout forums – focusing on hot topics such as AI implementation, product data quality, food traceability regulations, medical UDI identification, and EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility).
Industry workshops – enabling in-depth exchanges on cross-sector integration of RFID and 2D barcodes.
Concurrent exhibition – where system developers, hardware manufacturers, and third‑party service providers showcased end-to-end solutions based on GS1 standards.
Trading partner roundtables and business matchmaking sessions – offering precise networking and professional learning opportunities for delegates.
The conference provided a valuable platform for members, experts, academics, and national GS1 organizations to exchange views on topics such as product data applications, traceability and visibility, emerging supply chain technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and the evolving demands of e-commerce.
During the event, the GS1 China delegation engaged in extensive communication with participating companies and delegates from other GS1 member organizations. They highlighted the large-scale achievements of GS1 standards in China’s market regulation, cross-border trade, and product digital commerce, and presented practical pathways for improving product data sharing, regulatory efficiency, and trade facilitation. The participation proved highly productive.
