Recently, The State Administration for Market Regulation of China (SAMR) and the Tajikistan State Agency of Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection signed theRoadmap for Scientific and TechnicalCooperationin Metrology.
Metrology is a critical foundation for ensuring unimpeded international trade. The signing of this document establishes a metrological cooperation mechanism between China and Tajikistan, laying a solid groundwork for pragmatic collaboration. It will further advance the alignment of metrology rules between China and Central Asian countries, help eliminate technical barriers to trade, enhance bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and inject new impetus into regional economic development.
SAMR will collaborate with Tajik relevant agencies through the Belt and Road National Metrology Testing and Research Center (Shaanxi). The two sides will focus on metrological technology coordination, regulatory framework harmonization, personnel training, and laboratory capacity building, aiming to foster a closer metrological cooperation community and support high-quality development among the Belt and Road countries.
