On March 31, Luo Wen, Minister of the State Administration for Market Regulation of China, met in Beijing with Ms. Anna Cavazzini, Chair of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection of the European Parliament.

The two sides exchanged views on a range of topics, including consumer rights and interests protection, competition law enforcement, online platform regulation, product quality and safety supervision, technical regulations, and conformity assessment regulation.

Officials from the Constitution and Law Committee of the National People’s Congress, the Administrative Office of the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and relevant departments of the SAMR attended the meeting.
