Vice Minister Deng Zhiyong Meets with Secretary-General of ISO Sergio Mujica

On March 25, Mr. Deng Zhiyong, Vice Minister of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), Administrator of the National Standardization Administration(SAC), met in Beijing with Mr. Sergio Mujica, Secretary-General of the International Organization for Standardization(ISO). The two sides exchanged views on  ISO governance, standardization digitalization, international standardization work in key areas as well as other relevant topics.

Deng Zhiyong stated that the SAMR(SAC) will continue to promote the institutional opening-up of standards in accordance with the policy decisions of the 15th Five-Year Plan on enhancing the level of internationalization of standards. Adhering to the principles of openness, cooperation, and mutual benefit, SAMR(SAC) will contribute China's wisdom and solutions to promoting global connectivity and sustainable development. Sergio Mujica spoke highly of China's deep participation in ISO governance and the development of international standards, expressing that ISO will further strengthen collaboration with China.

Responsible delegates from relevant departments of the SAMR and China National Institute of Standardization attended the meeting.
