On July 29, 2026, the 4th session of "Fostering International Talent", organized by the Department of International Cooperation of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) and undertaken by the National Center of Standards Evaluation, was successfully held. Centered on the theme "Skilled in Strategic Negotiations, Empowering Enterprises to Go Global", the event gathered more than 20 young backbones from relevant departments and directly affiliated institutions of SAMR.
The salon zeroed in on two cutting-edge international issues: ISO copyright governance and WTO reform. Participants engaged in in-depth all-English discussions covering key topics including compliance management of international standard copyright, China’s response strategies, the development of technical barrier to trade (TBT) systems, foreign trade notification and comment procedures, and support mechanisms for enterprises’ overseas development. The activity effectively integrated young cadres’ foreign language proficiency with their professional expertise, broadened their global vision, and strengthened their professional competence and practical capabilities to engage in international negotiations and safeguard Chinese enterprises’ overseas development.
Moving forward, SAMR will further develop the "Fostering International Talent" as a brand for talent cultivation. It will continuously enrich event themes and formats, expand participation coverage, foster a contingent of high-caliber international professionals, and contribute to the country’s broader drive of high-standard opening-up.
