On November 4, 2026, Mr. Liu Guiping, Minister of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), met with a delegation led by Mr. Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Mr. Shen Changyu, Deputy Director General of WIPO, and Mr. Mzukisi Qobo, Deputy Director General of WIPO. The two sides held a discussion on the latest progress in key areas of intellectual property protection and recent cooperative initiatives, and expressed their commitments to further deepen cooperation on intellectual property protection and work together to build a more just and equitable international intellectual property order.
